We invite a professional photographer to come out twice a year to our meetings to offer you the opportunity to update your photos on social media and other places to grab more attention for you and your business. Lifestyle poses are a great way to show some of your character and personality while still being professional. In this blog, I will provide you with 3 great suggestions on how to strike a pose and capture confidence and sincerity on camera. Keep these tips in mind and practice in front of a mirror at home to see which ones you favor, before you get in front of the camera.
Stand Tall & Confident
Projecting confidence is key in all your photos. For this pose, stand tall, shoulders back, and head held high. Place one or both your hip(s) or clasp them behind your back to show authority and control. For men, I like to suggest putting one hand in the front pocket and the other hand resting behind your back. Imagine you have a watch on that hand and rest the face of your watch on your lower back creating a confident pose and good posture.
2. Fostering Warmth, Relationships & Appear Relaxed
It’s crucial to foster positive relationships with colleagues and clients in person and online! This pose will help you appear approachable and ready to work together. Sit down, leaning slightly forward and maintain an open body language. Smile genuinely and engage in active listening.
3. Commanding the Room & Grabbing Attention
Captivate your audience and command the room with this pose. Stand at the front of the room with your feet shoulder-width apart. Make deliberate hand gestures, maintaining eye contact with the camera, and move with purpose. Consider thinking about a quote that you feel passionate about while you look at the camera.
